The History of the Foundation

The Genesis Foundation of Hope and Restoration, Inc. is the vision of its founder, Adjinoria H. Tomlin, after two years of completed seminary work in 2016. Its purpose is an anti-poverty campaign to help women, children, and families. This is a faith-based, non-profit, service, and charitable organization created to support families in crisis or may be suffering from the effects of poverty, especially women and children. One main goal is to keep families together if at all possible.

The foundation will partner with individuals, businesses, and other community organizations or groups to give hope and to help women, children, and families in crisis move to a healthier standard of living. We hope you will agree to partner with us to help underserved families, women, and children of our community who suffer with these challenging problems.

The organization doubles as a referral service for persons who may need temporary assistance in areas such as food, clothing, and shelter.

The foundation is a subsidiary of A. H. Tomlin Ministries, Inc.

Why the name GENESIS?

The name GENESIS was chosen for the foundation because it is significant of the following:

  • the beginning of a new 21st century ministry for the community
  • the book of GENESIS in the Bible; it is known as “the book of beginnings”
  • the beginning of hope and positive thinking for those who have lost hope in our world
  • the beginning of restoration for those who have lost faith for a better life or future
